Deep in the annals of history, well summer 1997; two brothers, Jimmy and Ian Greenwood, went on a rally. Both Jimmy and Ian had been in various bike clubs and neither of them had found the clubs gave them what they wanted. They had come to a decision to create their own club, but what would they call it. At that point an attractive, scantily clad member of the opposite sex walked by, Jimmy and Ian paused to admire the view. Various people on the campsite noticed this happening and somebody shouted out "You two are just a couple of Perverts in Leather". Jimmy and Ian realised instantly that this was the name they had been searching for and that their lives would never be the same again (well that's a bit of an overstatement but it sounds quite dramatic doesn't it). The next decision was to create a club emblem. Both the brothers were huge fans of the mighty Taz so he seemed an ideal choice, after being perverted with stockings and high heels. Jimmy and Ian soon convinced several friends to join their fledgling club, as well as accosting potential members as they attended rallies. By 1998 the membership had swelled to an impressive 50 perverts, so it was decreed that a 50 th member party would take place. Unfortunately somebody ordered too many badges (difficult maths huh!) With the club coffers a little low the decision was taken to hold a fetish themed rock night at The Black Horse in Somercotes. There were no bands at this one nighter, just a fantastic DJ called Wij. The night was a total success and the next morning the club decided to hold a full weekend rally in 2000. The Fetish Fun and Frolics Rally had been born. The following years rally was an even greater success (apart from the portaloos) and we had to move the rally to a bigger site! |
